From January 21 to 24, 2026, the Faculty Affairs Office of the CPC Committee of Southeast University and the School of Marxism jointly organized more than 50 teachers of ideological and political theorycourses to participate in a themed practical training program in Nanhua County, Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The program, themed “Experience the Great Power of Rural Revitalization and Strengthen the Foundation of Ideological and Political Education”, aims to deepen teachers’ understanding of the rural revitalization strategy and improve the relevance and appeal of ideological and political theorycourses.
The training integrated theoretical learning, on-site teaching, field visits and research exchanges. Teachers studied the revolutionary history and stories of martyrs at the Party School of Nanhua County to strengthen their ideals and convictions through red education. They visited middle schools receiving targeted assistance from Southeast University, exchanged ideas with members of the postgraduate teaching group, and discussed paths for educational support and the integrated development of ideological and political theorycourses in primary, secondary and higher education. In addition, teachers visited rural revitalization demonstration sites, characteristic industrial bases and university-local cooperation platforms to inspect the achievements in the integrated development of agriculture, culture and tourism, the entire industrial chain of edible fungi, and the inheritance of Yi embroidery culture, witnessing the remarkable effects of rural revitalization and university-local cooperation.
This practical training has broadened the horizons of teachers and enriched their teaching materials. All participants stated that they would translate the achievements of the training into teaching cases and research topics, continuously improve the quality of ideological and political teaching, earnestly fulfill the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, and better perform the mission of educating people for the Party and the country.
