On November 1, 2025, the 6th Nanjing Universities Postgraduate Forum for Marxist Theorywas successfully held at the Jiulonghu Campus of Southeast University. The forum was hosted by the School of Marxism and the Institute for the Development of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics at Southeast University, with the theme of “The Second Integration and the New Cultural Mission in the New Era”. It attracted nearly 70 young scholars from more than 40 universities nationwide for academic exchanges .

The opening ceremony was presided over by Yang Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of the School. Zhu Jusheng, Vice Dean of the School, delivered a welcome speech. He elaborated on the significance of cultural inheritance and development by integrating the millennia-old cultural heritage of Nanjing and the development history of Southeast University, and encouraged young scholars to base their theoretical research on China’s practices so as to contribute to adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of our times.

A total of 25 excellent papers were selected at the forum, including 3 first prizes, 7 second prizes and 15 third prizes. Attending guests presented awards to the winning students. After the opening ceremony, Professor Li Qianjin and Professor Lu Yongsheng delivered keynote speeches, focusing on the development of a strong cultural country in the new era and the philosophical connotation of the Second Integration. In the thematicsession, six young scholars exchanged views on relevant topics.

At the closing ceremony, Yang Dong delivered a concluding speech. He fully affirmed the academic achievements of the forum and expressed the hope that the forum would continue to serve as a platform for exchanges to boost the high-quality development of the discipline of Marxist Theory and demonstrate the theoretical competence and sense of responsibility of young scholars.
